Volunteers support The Philadelphia Orchestra through work on volunteer committees and as part of Young Friends Ambassadors.
Volunteer Committees
The Volunteer Committees for The Philadelphia Orchestra are comprised of dynamic and devoted Orchestra enthusiasts who are dedicated to supporting the Orchestra in such areas as audience development, educational programs, fundraising, community relations, and special events.
Our volunteers have sponsored concerts, provided financial support to encourage young artists, raised funds to purchase tickets for students, and established funds for solo performances by the concertmaster and first-chair members of the Orchestra. They have also contributed to the expansion of the orchestral repertoire by underwriting several commissions of new works for the Orchestra throughout the years.
Volunteer Mission Statement
The members of the Volunteer Committees collaborate with the Board, musicians, and staff of The Philadelphia Orchestra to fundraise, educate, and promote symphonic music in our concert hall, schools, and in diverse venues in our communities. The organizational structure has grown to now include six committees:
- Central
- Chestnut Hill
- Main Line
- New Jersey
- Rittenhouse Square
- West Philadelphia
For more information about our Volunteer Committees contact Samantha Noll in the Volunteer Relations Office at 215.893.1956 or snoll@philorch.org or visit the Volunteer Committee website.
